Native Advertising and Content Marketing

Native AdvertisingOne of the emerging technique or method in the era of the advertisement is known as native advertising and content marketing. At times people understand both terminologies as same and too many marketers and the media itself speciously use content marketing and native advertising interchangeably. While on the other side both of them work on different dimensions and lines.

Native refers to the content’s rationality or logical bounding on any platform. Some of the aspects under the terminology are as followed:

  • Definition : While talking about Native advertising it refers to the digitization work or online advertising that show the symmetry on the context as per the platform which is used.
  • Game of Pay: Native advertising is a game for which you are being paid. Companies/brands pay for the placement of content on platforms outside of their own media. The example for Native advertising is the paid material, sponsored contents, Print advertorials, in feed ads and online video advertorials. In short Native advertising is paid content that matches a publication’s editorial standards while meeting the audience’s expectations. In that case it is clear that customer is forced to look at your company.
  • Content: In other means the content is the most important aspect for any marketing strategy. In native advertising the content gives a value but it is not in the context of selling only. However the selling of product and service is secondary, since the purpose is to just to give a glimpse about the service. Sometimes the ads seems to be pushy and irritating as it blocks the main image of the site/page but sometimes they have the friendly and attractive tone , which attract the end user.

On the other hand content marketing is a novel and old approach as well. This marketing strategy is more strategic and works on owing the media or the platform.

  • Definition: Content marketingis defined as a strategic marketing technique, which establishes, creates and develops the content which is relevant, concise and attractive for the customers. It is disturbed in a way that it comes as a strong product and forces the customer behavior to mould the attitude towards buying the product/service.
  • Game for selling: The main purpose of the content marketing is the sales but sales are not expected solely as a result of content marketing; yet it does provide value to readers. The content is established in a way that can help the readers to buy the product.
  • Content: As the name suggest the knowledgeable content, its authenticity and the relevance is the most important matter. The tone used in the content marketing doesn’t try to pressure the reader to buy but it acknowledges the reader’s perspective by giving them the ultimate solution in shape of the products and services.

Further to the aforementioned discussion it is important to note that both of the marketing/advertisement dimensions come with the different perspective and hence it is better to use them as per the needs and operational demands.
